Substrate with wood fiber for houseplants. Contains only a small amount of peat. The peat is substituted by renewable raw materials, such as wood fiber and matured compost.
Substrate with wood fiber for houseplants is made with a smaller amount of high-quality transitional and fen peat, wood fiber, bark compost, clay content, a combined mineral fertilizer with trace elements and finely ground dolomitic limestone. The substrate is a universal growing medium for repotting flowering and evergreen houseplants and their subsequent cultivation in pots or planters.By containing high-quality peat, the substrate ensures proper air access to plant roots and retains irrigation water. Its clay content prevents the leeching of both primary and trace nutrients.
Scope and method of use:
The substrate is used for repotting and subsequent cultivation of houseplants without needing to be combined with another growing medium. When repotting, gently rub the root ball of the plant in order to remove excess soil and any dead roots. Cover the bottom of the pot with the substrate, place the plant loosely inside, add more soil and tap it down, then lightly firm it and add as needed until the soil reaches roughly 1 cm below the top rim of the pot. Once the plants have taken root, fertilize them frequently with a combined or specialized mineral fertilizer. Maintain intervals of 3 to 4 weeks between fertilizations and follow the dosage instructions on the fertilizer label (approximately a 0.2 to 0.3% solution). Be sure to follow other essential growing guidelines: proper watering, adequate lighting, and temperature, all in accordance to the type of plants you are growing.
